Halibut Cove Live is a unique boating and fine dining concert event that I was blessed to perform at with the Dan Mac Band several times over the past couple of years. It was during one overnight stay when one of the staff members mentioned that I should write a song about the otter since they were often seen entertaining audiences in the cove. Since "Fireweed" is an Alaska featured CD I agreed since the otter is just as much a part of the Alaska theme as anything else. Soon after I wrote down the words that I felt best described the attitude and demeanor of the otters; at least the ones in Halibut Cove.

One of the reasons I call this album "the musician's album" is because of the instrumental solo's played throughout each song recording. This one is one of my favorites. I feel it depicted the otter's lifestyle. I hope you enjoy "Little Otterville"
